William V. Jewell, 78, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 24, 2024 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Hospital.
He was born on November 12, 1945 to the late William and Anna (Vinkavich) Jewell in Racine.
William entered the US Marines on August 19, 1963. He served during Vietnam and was honorably discharged on April 22, 1969.
William owned and operated Jewell Electric Inc. on Glen Flora Avenue in Waukegan for 45 years. He specialized in electrical, burglar and fire alarms.
William was a member of Beth Hillel Temple.
William is survived by his life partner Judith H. Torrez, his children William Douglas Jewell, Sandra Yvonne Fioretti-Frank, Matthew Jewell, Jennifer R. Hendrix, Mia K. Kilgore and Jason David Richmon, his grandchildren Amber Mhynier, David Gabriel Jewell, Patricia Bethany Jewell, Jonathan Flament, Sarah Walker and Maxwell Richmon-Hendrix and his three great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Mary Anne Jewell, a son Joseph D. Jewell and his former wife Patty Jane Jewell.
Funeral Services for William will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Beth Hillel Temple (6050 – 8th Ave.) with Full Military Honors to follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Beth Hillel Temple. Interment will follow at Am Echod Cemetery in Waukegan, IL. Memorials would be appreciated to Kindred Kitties, Beth Hillel Temple or to a charity of ones choice.
