Vivian Nurmi, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Ironwood, MI, on December 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Domenica Costa. She was educated in the schools of Ironwood and graduated from St. Ambrose Catholic School before moving to Kenosha in 1963, where she has resided since.
On January 7, 1956, she married Arnold Nurmi in Ironwood, MI. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2015.
Vivian worked as a cook for First United Daycare for 22 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member at St. Therese Catholic Church.
Survivors include her two sons, William (Luann) Nurmi of Wisconsin Rapids and Michael Nurmi of Kenosha; a daughter, Nina Bush of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Venessa, Nicholas, Jeremy, and Julie; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Morgan, Daphne, and Margot.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Nurmi; and two sisters, JoAnn Stevens and Rita Finco.
