Tracy Lee Nickel, age 55, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, September 3rd, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. He was born on December 1st, 1965, to the late Daniel and Liane (Leuschner) Nickel. On July 5th, 1991, he married Stephanie Podella in Mesa, AZ. He retired from Metalex in Libertyville in 2011.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, fixing small engines, riding his tractor, walking the dog, and playing various games such as dice, cribbage, and online poker. He mostly loved spending time with family including his many nieces and nephews. He also looked forward every week to spending time with family during their weekly dinners, where his family also loved his cooking. He was a very outgoing person and loved visiting whenever he got the chance.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie Nickel, brothers: Tim (Sherry) Nickel of Kenosha, Tom (Nancy) Nickel of Kenosha, and Terrance Nickel of Kenosha, sister: Linda Moran of Houston, TX, nieces & nephews: TJ, Tiffany, Nathan, Tamara, Sara, Amanda, and Liane, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his dog Kujo (“my baby boy”). He is preceded in death by his mom and dad.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the ICU at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, as well as all the family, friends, and neighbors who continue to give their support at this time. As per the family’s wishes, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
