Teresa Loretta (Sneller) Nelson, 86 formerly of Kenosha, late of Tomah, WI and Florida passed away on October 5, 2024.
Teresa was born on April 9, 1938 to Clarence Oswald and Sophie Caroline Sneller (Pranke) in Racine.
She married Warren George Nelson on October 1, 1955 at St. John’s Church in Paris, Wi. Warren preceded her in death on October 6, 2015
Teresa worked as a car hop at A&W, in addition to being a loving homemaker, she worked at Kremis Farms sorting potatoes and onions, A Garden Shop and Beall’s department store in Florida.
Teresa took a lot of pride in raising their five children. She was especially good at learning how to live on a shoestring. Teresa could look at a tiny picture and figure out a way to recreate it. She enjoyed making ribbon fish mobiles, beer bottle ships, plastic canvas items, and ornaments from bottle caps. She loved doing all kind of puzzles, drawing, and especially liked reading, collecting Panda bears and postcards from all over, car rides, and seeing the beautiful fall colors.
Teresa is survived by her children, Russell Nelson of Watertown WI. Mark Nelson of Red Granite, WI. Steven (Peggy) Nelson of Kenosha, WI. and Shelly (Tom Miller) Loehr, of Wausau WI, her 12 grandchildren, her 21 great grandchildren, her sisters Dawn Davis of Waupaca, Linda (Dan) Heuer of Iola, WI. and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, a son Jody Nelson, and daughter-in-law Emily Nelson. As well as one brother, four sisters, and many in-law ‘s.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering for Teresa will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Old Settlers Bowling Center 1500 15th Avenue, Union Grove, WI.
A private burial was requested by Teresa. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
