Sylvia Olivares, 67, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie.
Born in San Antonio, TX, May 9, 1955, to Alvino and Emma (Gomez) Perez.
She married Romeo Olivares in Mississippi on June 15, 1970, in civil court, and then got married in Kenosha at St. James Catholic Church on November 6, 1971.
Her hobbies included playing bingo and shopping. She loved to cook, and her favorite thing was spending time with her family. She was a dedicated wife for 52 years. She worked as a CNA for 14 years at Kenosha hospital. She loved helping people.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Esther Olivares, Sylvia (Guillermo) Rojas, and Olivia (Raymundo) Hernandez; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents; her infant son; and her siblings.
Visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Parish, 2224 45th St, Kenosha. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
