Sharon Monroe, 87, of Kenosha passed away on Monday March 8, 2021 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Sharon was born on December 5, 1933 in White Lake Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Stanley & Lillian (Brown) Place. Sharon married Austin Miller on August 21, 1951. After Austin’s passing in 2002, she married Shirley Timothy Monroe on November 6, 2004. Sharon had various jobs, but was most proud of her years spent as a homemaker. Her hobbies included socializing with friends at a local senior center, playing cards, cooking & baking, loved horses, but most of all spending time with family & friends.
Survivors include her children, Billy Miller of Burlington, Luanne (Rusty) Svendsen of Gurnee, Tommy (Mary) Miller of Warrens, Timmy Miller of Kenosha, Linda Miller of Silver Lake; brother, Stanley Place Jr. of Antigo; sisters, Donna Mae (Mike) Collins of CA, Andrea Place of Antigo; 9 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her husbands, Austin Miller & Shirley “Tim” Monroe.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 19, 2021 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 9:00AM-11:00AM, with funeral services to follow at 11:00AM. Burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
