Sharon Martinelli, 62, lifelong resident of Kenosha, passed away while battling lung cancer on December 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon was born on February 21, 1959, the daughter of the late Paul and Sally (Shankland) Jessen. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and employed at nursing homes and the Department of Corrections as a Registered Nurse. Sharon was married to Joseph Martinelli for over 35 years. Her hobbies included crochet, pinochle, puzzles, rummage sales, playing on the computer, tending to campfire, and fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Melissa (James) Kraak of Trevor, Nathan Martinelli of Kenosha; brothers, James (Mary) Jessen of Neillsville, John (Marilyn) Jessen of Kenosha; sister, Susan Martin of Elkhorn; also included are her 2 grandchildren, Kaylee and Nicholas. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and beloved pug-mix ‘Pheebers’.
A visitation will be held on Thursday December 23, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church from 9:00AM-10:00AM with funeral services to follow immediately at 10:00AM. Interment will be at St. George Cemetery.
