Sammy “Sam” L. Gott, 72, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital.
He was born on November 18, 1948 to Frank B. and Katharina (Wittman) Gott in Fussen, Germany. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School. He received an Associate’s Degree from Gateway Technical College.
Sam entered the US Air Force on March 13, 1968 serving during Vietnam with Communications Group and was honorably discharged on March 12, 1974.
Sam worked as an electrician/maintenance for United Airlines for 30 years.
Sam enjoyed bible studies, working outside, gardening, was a wonderful caregiver to all and loved going to the movies with his grandchildren.
Sam is survived by his children James T. Gott of Los Angeles, CA, Branden L. Gott of Kenosha, Michael Meyer of Kenosha, William Meyer of Janesville and Nathan Meyer of Janesville, his mother Katharina Gott of Kenosha, his grandchildren Ashlee, Alexis and Allison and his brothers Frank (Elaine) Gott of Fox Lake, IL and Ron Gott of Kenosha.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Funeral Services for Sam will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at Journey Church (10700 – 75th St.). Interment will follow with Full Military Honors at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
