Ronald Struthers, age 74, came to the end of his journey on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Froedtert South-Kenosha Campus.
Born on October 7, 1946 in Waukegan, IL, he was the son of the late Thomas C. and Jean V. (Hemphill) Struthers.
Ron attended Star Grade School, graduated from Bradford High School in 1964 and received his degree in Automotive Repair from Gateway Technical College.
On July 26, 1969, Ron married his best friend, Rose Willkomm here in Kenosha at St Mary’s Catholic Church.
Ron took great pride in serving his country in the Army from 1966-1967. From 1968-1997 he owned and operated “Ron’s Auto Clinic” Auto & Truck Repair with Towing. Simultaneously, Ron also worked for AMC-Chrysler Corp. as a journeyman handling truck repairs from 1972-2002, retiring in 2002.
In his free time, Ron enjoyed 4×4 wheeling and creating garden railroad layouts. He was past treasurer for the Kenosha Garden Railroad Society and for the ATSEW (Auto Technicians of Southeast WI), as well as a member of the Board at Gateway Technical College for Automotive Repair.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rose; his children, Christine Tabili, Catherine Schulz, Carrie Chavez; his grandchildren, Danielle, Ethan, Ryan, Allison, Lydia; his great-grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, Matthew, Daniel; his siblings, Claudia Gray, Renny Lucas, Gary Struthers, Dani Rowland, Patrick Struthers, and Scott Struthers.

A special thank you to Dr. Raikar, Dr. Griffiths, all of the staff in the ICU at Froedtert South-Kenosha Campus- especially RN Ashley and Chaplain David Baugher.
A visitation for Ron will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Piasecki Funeral Home.
Funeral services honoring Ron’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Cemetery.
Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, only 50 people will be permitted to enter the funeral home at one time. For safety of our guests, you may be asked to wait outside. Social distancing will be maintained and those in attendance are required to wear a face covering.
