With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Peter Sebetic, 97, on March 16, 2024, at home.
Peter was born in Kenosha on July 20, 1926, son of Matthew and Teresa (Dragovich) Sebetic. Being a lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in the Kenosha Public school system.
Peter joined the U.S. Army in 1943, serving in the Philippine Island and Japan where he earned numerous merit awards.
After returning from service, Peter was employed at American Motors where he met the love of his life, Ella Schneider. They were married on December 13, 1952, for 69 blissful years until Ella entered eternal rest.
Peter was a Gold Circle Member of the VFW and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Peter enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and walking at the Boys and Girls Club. For the past two years he spent many hours daily at his grandson’s restaurant, Andy’s Drive-In.
Besides his parents and loving wife, Peter was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mildred Gearhart and Anna Kollman and a brother, Vincent Sebetic. Peter will be greatly missed by his two sons, Michael and Ronald (Judy), three grandchildren, Courtney (Dan), Peter, Lindsey (Mike) and five great grandchildren, Peyton, Tenley, Kayley, Luke, and Ava, and several nieces and nephews.
Peter’s family would like to thank Dr. Zeihen, Nurse Carla, Hospice Alliance-Palliative Care, CenterWell Home Health, Kenosha Paramedics and Froedtert South for your compassion and excellent care you gave Peter. It will always be appreciated.
A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services on Tuesday March 26, 2024, from 10:00AM-12:00PM with funeral services to follow immediately at 12:00PM. Burial will be at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
