Paul “Buddy” L. Pfenninger age 70 of Powers Lake, WI passed away September 8, 2023, with his family beside him.  He was born in Chicago, IL on May 11, 1953.  The son of the late Paul and Anna Mae (Tibor) Pfenninger. On November 22, 1975, he was united in marriage to Shari Hobbie in Twin Lakes, WI.

Family and Friends were Bud’s life. He enjoyed taking everyone out on his boat, splitting wood for hours…..and then talking about it for hours. He looked forward to hunting the last 40ish years with all his “deer” buddies. Bud was a founding member of the Randall Fire Department in 1984; in 2013 he was promoted to Station 1 Battalion Chief. He was so proud to be a part of the comradery for the last four decades. Bud had many joys in life, with the greatest being called “Papa.”

Bud was survived by his wife of 48 years, Shari.  Mother-in-law Nonnie Joyce, Father to Ashley (Cliff) Mitchell, Lindsy (Evan) Skinner, Chelsey (Chris) O’Reilly, Lexey (Jake) Lasch and Quincy (Alise Oberg) Pfenninger.  Loving Papa to Keegan Pfenninger, Piper Mitchell, Holland and Remi Skinner, Nova, Maeve, Nash, Navy, Nyx and Ezi (Etsy) O’Reilly.  Further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, and his big Hawaiian Ohana.

Bud’s family would like to thank all the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, Aurora Burlington Hospital, Aurora Home Health Care, and the multitude of friends and family that came to visit. They would also like to give a special thank you to Theresa Hewitt, NP, whose preventative measures provided them with the precious gift of time. They will always be forever grateful for everyone’s care and compassion.

A Celebration of Buddy’s life will be held on September 30, 2023, from 2pm-6pm at the Randall Fire Department Station #2 9575 336th Ave.  Online condolences can be made at Haaselockwoodfhs.com.  The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI is honored to serve the Pfenninger family.
