Norma Jean Fondren, 83, of Pleasant Prairie and Berry, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Medical Center.
She was born on October 11, 1937 to the late James Foster and Myrtie Mae (Harris) Fondren in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Norma Jean was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Norma Jean was a very talented seamstress. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was very passionate about making and donating hats for children’s hospitals. She also loved to make doll clothes and accessories for her grandchildren. Norma was gifted with a beautiful singing voice. She loved music; She would sit and play organ/piano for hours. She passed on that gift to her children and grandchildren. Norma enjoyed reading her bible. God gave Norma a great passion for life, and she shared that with all who were blessed to know her. Spending time with her family was something she cherished. Her beautiful smile and infectious laughter will never be forgotten and will be carried on throughout generations to come.
Norma is survived by her children John (Patricia) Pepper, Sandra (Paul) Hill, Peggy Pepper-Kuhl, Earl (Jodi) Cox, Laura (Dale) Lippold, Corina Cox and William (Joni) Cox, her grandchildren Miranda, John Paul (Gina), Matthew (Jennifer), Anthony, Crystal (Brett), Elizabeth (Taylor), Kimberly, Felicia (Thomas), Mikayla, Hannah and Emilee and her great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia in infancy, two sisters Dorothy and Ola Mae and a brother James.
Funeral Services for Norma will be held on Sunday, February 21st at 3:00 p.m. at Berry Church of God (390 County Road 30). Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Berry.
