Nancy Ellen Solovey, 65, of Kenosha passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. Nancy was born on October 3rd, 1959 in Gary Indiana to Edward and Lucille (Sirocchi) Solovey. Soon after her birth, the family moved back to Kenosha, WI, where Nancy grew up and attended school. In Kenosha, Nancy was surrounded by family and spent extended time with both sets of grandparents, cousins, and friends.
After graduating from Tremper High School, Nancy attained a bachelor’s degree from Parkside University, followed by a masters degree from the University of Georgia. She entered the workforce at Jockey International before moving to Connecticut to begin her career as a marketing research analyst. Her tenure in marketing led her to the Nestle Corporation, where she lived and worked for the company in Burbank, California and Vevey, Switzerland.
While pursuing her career abroad, Nancy became an avid traveler, exploring many of the countries in Europe. She hosted family, friends, and colleagues and accompanied them as they explored new places. In addition to traveling, Nancy enjoyed trying new restaurants, sharing a glass of red wine with friends, and diving into a new novel.
Nancy is survived by her mother Lucille Solovey, her sisters; Robin (Rick) Ridolfi, and Diane (Domenick) Martinelli; four nieces: Amber (Eric Pirkl) Ridolfi, Hillary (Fausto) Fioravanti, Celia (Ben) Kuhl, and Gina Martinelli; nephew: Dominic Martinelli; and eight great nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father Edward Solovey, and both sets of grandparents; Nazzarino and Rose Sirocchi & Sam and Ann Solovey.
Nancy will be remembered with a private celebration of life. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please make a donation to one of the following organizations: Kenosha Public Library, the University of Wisconsin Parkside, and Women’s and Children’s Horizons of Kenosha.
