Najib Marcus, 81 years old of Chicago, IL, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021.
He was born on July 1, 1940, in Iraq, to the late Odisho and Warena Marcus. He was the oldest of seven children. He is survived by his sisters, Nasreen and Basima.
Najib was a devout member of St. Ephrem Chaldean Catholic Church, in Chicago, IL as well as Mart Mariam Church, in Northbrook, IL. We know his strong faith in God has brought him to a better place and he is in heaven with his three children who passed as infants.
He is survived by and was the beloved Father and most loving Papa to, Riva (Jason) Kimmel their children Sahara, Caden, and Elliana & Revens Marcus and his son, Jordan.
Riva and Revens share the fond memories of endless bike rides and a father who would get them ice cream at 1am just to see them smile. Najib’s grandkids were his whole world, he always looked forward to seeing them on the weekends. His family was his first priority, always checking in, making sure everyone was taken care of.
Najib will be missed by many, he left his mark in people’s lives and it cannot be replaced. Anyone who knew him, knew he was the most humblest man, gave his love with all of his heart, and was there when you needed him.
Visitation will be held from 10am-11am on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI with a Funeral Mass to be observed at 11am. His final resting place will be at All Saints Cemetery in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
