Milka Simonovich, 90 years old of Trevor, WI passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born October 10, 1931, in Glamoc, Bosnia, the daughter of the late Nikola and Milica (Cegar) Srdic. On June 12, 1949, she married Radomir Simonovic in Italy and he preceded her in death.
Milka was a long-time member of St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church, Chicago, IL. She was the Chicago Cubs number one fan and enjoyed going to casinos. Milka cherished her family and loved cooking for them.
Survivors include her children, Vera Craver of Hot Springs, AR, Nancy “Nada” (the late Joseph) Diorio of Hot Springs, AR, Melvin “Miodrag” (Suzanne) Simonovic of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Milan Simonovich of Hot Springs, AR, and Ljuba (Rick) Cunningham of Maumelle, AR; son-in-law, the late David Crowley; grandchildren, David Crowley, Joseph Diorio, Vincent Diorio, Gina Diorio, Kristina Cunningham, Nikola Cunningham, Niki Simonovich, Nina Simonovich, Mika Simonovich, Milan Simonovich Jr., Steven Simonovic, Michael Simonovich, Mark Simonovich, Daniel Simonovich, Anthony Simonovich, and Sonja (Simonovich) Mikulecky; great-grandchildren, Dominic Diorio, Kristian Diorio, Anthony Puckett, Brianna Puckett, Niko Cunningham, Pristina Cunningham, Charlie “Bato” Cunningham, Luka Cunningham, Bella Simonovich, Onyx Simonovich, Zachary Harris, Noah Harris, Milosch Simonovich, Miakoda Simonovich, Iljana Simonovich, Nadja Simonovich, Rocco Simonovich, Daniel Simonovich, Matthew Simonovich, Jakob Mikulecky, Trevor Mikulecky, Aleksandar Simonovic, Sofija Simonovich, and Jacek Simonovich; her sister, Anja (the late Zarko) Skipina; brothers, the late Jovan and the late Milan Srdic; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Proko Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday at New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL. Interment will follow in Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery, Third Lake, IL.
