Michelle Rene’ (Hayes) Pesik passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 61, after a short, hard-fought battle with cancer and respiratory illnesses. Michelle was born on December 10, 1963, in Orlando, FL. She graduated from Colonial High School in Orlando, FL.
On January 8, 1983, she married Mike in Orlando, FL upon which she became a Navy wife of 14 years, taking them from Orlando to Long Beach, CA then onto San Diego, CA. Their career ended at Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois in 1997.
After Mike retired from the Navy in 1997, Michelle started her own career as a hard-working deli manager in Kenosha, WI and the surrounding area for 30 years, starting at Sentry Foods in 1994 and ending at Pick and Save in Mount Pleasant, WI until her recent death. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years Michael (Mike) Pesik; son, Brandon Pesik; stepson, Robert (Michele) Pesik; stepdaughter, Angela (Raul) Marroquin; grandchildren, Evalyn, Zoey, Reid, Odin, Jordan and step-grandson Alex; sister, Julie (John) Koblasz of Orlando, Fl.; twin brothers, Darrell and Steven Overbay of Ohio; sister, and brother-in-law, Mary (Pesik) Gary Moilanen, and brother-in-law John Bultman.
Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Overbay; father/mother-in-law; Robert Pesik and Doris (Timm) Pesik; sister-in-law’s, Cheryl (Pesik) Sherman, and Debra (Pesik) Bultman.
As per Michelle’s wishes there will be no services. She wants to be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandma.
The family would like to thank the staff at the ICU/Hospice at Aurora Hospital of Kenosha for the compassionate care they gave Michelle. Notably Dr. Chahan and Dr. Syed. RN’s, Heidi, Evan, Paola, Katy, Abbie and Cody.
