Mary Steagall, 95, of Kenosha passed away on May 17, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Mary was born November 9, 1925 in Kenosha to the late Sebastian and Christina (Huettmann) Kolbach. Mary was educated in the schools of Kenosha. In November of 1944, she met and married Jim Steagall while they were both working at American Motors. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage together. In addition to American Motors, Mary also worked at Oage Thomsen, Quaker Stretcher, Cardinali’s Bakery and Great America. Throughout the years, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting, camping, hunting and their many trips to Wyoming.
Mary is survived by her daughter; Sally (Gary) DeKok, daughter-in-law; Judy (Tom Piehl) Steagall, grandchildren; Jennifer Steinbrink, Carolyn DeKok, Toby (Kim) Steagall, Todd Steagall, Tracy (Lisa) Steagall, Nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Randy Steagall, and sister; Martha Petersen.
In accordance with Mary’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Internment will occur at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove to be reunited with her husband Jim.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the doctors, and nurses at Aurora hospital, Aurora at Home Hospice, and the staff at Robin Way who all provided excellent care to Mary.
