Mary E. Braund (Manna) of Kenosha went home peacefully to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family in Eagle, WI on October 14, 2021, at the age of 97.
Born in Kenosha to Theresa (Vite) and Louis Manna. Beloved wife of the late Virgil J. Braund.
Mary worked and retired from Jockey International (1955 – 1981). She loved bowling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. She lived life to her fullest “living always for others.” A lady after God’s own heart! Will be missed and anxiously waiting to see her again. Attended church in Sugar Creek, WI at the House of the Lord Christian Church.
Mom of Kim A. (Joshua) Metallo and Michael E. (Joy) Braund; grandmother of Michael J. (Laura) Braund, Tricia (Bill) Wisnowski, Renee Braund, Jamie (Randal) Stokely, Jennifer (Frank) Giuffre, Sandra (Jon) Gibbons, Joseph (Heidi) Braund and Annie (Jason) Rohda; great grandmother to Brooke (Wesley) Meyer, Hailey Jansen, Kaydence Braund, Arielle Braund, Jax Rohda, Nevaeh Stokely, Ava Braund, Addison Rohda, Kailor Braund and Kaislee Braund.
Also loved and survived by her sister Gloria Christensen, sister-in-law Dorothy Manna along with nephews & nieces other relatives, and her best friend Delorse Stettner.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur, Frank “Effy”, Albert and Eugene Manna; and her sisters, Elizabeth “Lilly” Wortley and Rose “RoRo” Bordo.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the In-Home Hospice Care, Marwill and Echo.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Proko Funeral Home with services commencing at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
