Born on November 23rd 1947 in Waukegan IL, he was the son of the late Forbes and Violet (Hellquist) Robertson. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He married Roberta Smith, and they would later divorce. He worked for many years in the construction industry.

Marty was very involved in his community. He took great pride in volunteering and giving rides to people in need. He was also known for his pride in Wisconsin sports. He was an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He loved all sports in general, and he spent years coaching all kinds of sports for kids.  You could always count on Marty to be the life of the party no matter what the occasion was. Friends and family will fondly remember his loud, gruff voice and Wisconsin accent, but the heart of a teddy bear. He also passed along his love of B horror movies and books to both of his children. He will be greatly missed by the community of Kenosha, and even more so by his family and friends. He was an incredible father and grandfather.

He is survived by one son; Matthew (Tracey) Robertson of Texas, one daughter; Marcia (Roger White) Roberts of Iowa, eight grandchildren; Alex, Adam. Jeremy, Rachael, Stephanie, Jennifer, Joshua, and Ashley, and seven great grandchildren. He is further survived by three brothers; Jim, Michael, and Richard, and three sisters; Jean Ditzenberger, Joanne (John) Rauschl and Deborah (John) Dingman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Schran.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 18th, 2023, at 5:00PM in the Kemper Center Founders Hall. (6501-3rd Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Saturday in Founders Hall from 4:00PM until the time of services.
