Margie Fierke, age 64, a resident of Somers, unexpectedly went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 6th 2021. Margie was born to Clayton and Geraldine (nee Borcherding) Paraday on April 10th 1956.
Margie attended schools in the Chicago area, and was a graduate of Argo High School. She pursued her higher education, graduating high honors with her degree in accounting from Gateway Technical College.
On October 11th 1975 Margie married the love of her life, Gregory Fierke in Oak Lawn IL. Greg and Margie moved to Kenosha WI in 1982.
Margie had a deep faith in Jesus and was a member of Kenosha Bible Church for many years. She was involved in the Awana Club, youth group, hand-bell choir, musicals, and many other activities at the church.
Most of all, Margie enjoyed just hanging out with her beloved family and friends. She was such a giving, loving, compassionate and devoted mother and friend.
The highlight of Margie’s life were her four grandchildren and one great grandchild (who calls her Gaga). She was a very involved grandma; planning parties, attending fun events like Grandparents Day, and cheering on as their #1 fan at many sporting and musical events. Her grandkids loved her so much and will miss her deeply. Margie loved her weekly lunch dates with her posse: Paula, Linda, and Kathy. She had a gentleness and kindness that surpassed no other. Also, to add to her story, Margie was a great cook, knitter, seamstress that loved arts and crafts along with completing 1000+ piece puzzles and caring for all her pets.
Margie was from a family of six children, and is survived by: Glenn (Diane) Paraday, Carol (Jim) McInerney, Susan (Bill) Soulian, Clay (Sheri) Paraday and Ken (Amy) Paraday; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She is further survived by her daughters: Jamie Fierke (Joel Streicher) and Amber Fierke (Ryan Pierangeli); along with her grandchildren: Anissa Fierke (Frank Garcia), Allivia Pierangeli, Ajay Pierangeli, Cal Streicher, and great grandchild: Phoenix Garcia.
Surviving friends, who Margie loved with her whole heart and considered family: Ed and Paula St. Peter, Mark and Kathy Brennen, Joe and Linda Moffitt, Linda Kammerzelt, and numerous others.
Saving the best for last, Margie is survived by the love of her life, Greg Fierke. They were still madly in love at the time of her passing. Together they enjoyed 45 incredible years of marriage.
A memorial service for Margie will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 19th,2021 at Kenosha Bible Church (5405 – 67th Street). A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service.
As Margie’s family, we appreciate your love, prayers and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Margie’s name to Safe Harbor Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Kenosha County Sheriffs, Somers Rescue, Kenosha County M/E; and especially Casey Family Options for the compassionate care they’ve extended to our family.
Worry ends where Faith in God begins.
Most of all Margie would like you to consider:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16 – 17
