Lolita E. Haring, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on September 23, 2024. She was born to the late John and Irene (Padoba) Grno, on October 10, 1930.
She went to school at St. George Grade School and graduated from Bradford High School in 1948. Lolita was united in marriage, in 1950, to Ralph Van Hazinga. Lolita and Ralph lived, worked, and raised their family in Kenosha, where they were also foster parents for many years. Lolita worked part time jobs as a secretary to a lawyer and as a bookkeeper for a small manufacturing company.
Lolita and Ralph loved to travel, mainly to the Northwoods and retired in the Tomahawk area in 1992. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and living amongst the beauty and wildlife on their 14-acre home. Sadly, Ralph passed away in 2007.
She then met Daniel Haring Sr. through a mutual friend, and they married in 2008. They enjoyed traveling, fish fry’s and frequent trips to the casino. Dan passed away in 2019.
Lolita moved back to Kenosha, spending her later years back with family and friends. She enjoyed living at St. Josephs Home Villa until her passing. She had many hobbies including a passion for knitting and crocheting. Her later years she spent her time reading, working on puzzles and watching old movies.
She is survived by her children; Mark (Pamala), Jane, and Curt, grandchildren; Leah, Andrea, Rachel, Marci and Joel, great grandson; Bradley, sister-in-law; Jill, nieces; Joanie, Pattie and Dorothy, and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. She will be remembered by many as Auntie.
In addition to her parents and spouses, she is preceded in death by her daughter; Lynn, sister; Alice, and brother; John.
She supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and many other charities throughout her life including many that followed her faith within the Catholic Church.
Services will be held privately by the family.
