Linda E. McGuinness-Kamholz, age 79, of Kenosha formerly of Waukegan passed away on Monday, April 4th, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on January 23rd, 1943, the daughter of Elton and Ruth (Boller) Parker. Linda graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1961. Linda began her career as a painter and transitioned to the owner and operator of Second Opinion Interior Design for over 30 years. Linda always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a true giver in life and enjoyed many different hobbies: shopping, decorating, cooking, watching cooking shows. When Linda was not working or helping friends or family decorate their homes; Linda was spending time teaching her family the various games of cribbage, chess, spades, and any board game her grandchildren had on hand. Linda was also a lifelong sports fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and of late enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially being mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother.
Left to cherish her memories: William F. Kamholz (husband), Thomas (Sue) McGuinness (son), Jason (Jessica) McGuinness (grandson), and Kate McGuinness (granddaughter), Jordan and Jovanna McGuinness (great granddaughters).
She was preceded in death by her parents Elton and Ruth Parker, Robert Earl Parker(brother), John Parker McGuinness (son), and James Ian McGuinness (grandson).
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
