Leon Douglas Nevoraski, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at The Bay at Waters Edge in Kenosha.
He was born in Kenosha to the late Walter and Amanda (Tiemann) Nevoraski on January 1, 1943. He was one of 7 children, 5 of whom survive him, Jeanette (Mike Barnett), Marlene (the late Dick Torcaso), Vernon (Kristi), Linda (the late Jerry Hoeke) and Loreen (Robert Schnaare).
He grew up attending local schools including Bradford High School and also attended Gateway Technical College. On February 12, 1977 he was united in marriage to Judith Hertel.
He worked as a Warranty Administrator for LeMay & Sons and Schaefer Motors until his retirement.
He loved working in his garden during the summer and giving away most of everything he grew. He also enjoyed cooking, canning and was always known to have a stockpile of canned goods in the basement.
Leon is survived by his wife, Judith; his son, Jonathon Nevoraski; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stephen Hertel (Lindy Hertel), James Hertel (Lana Hertel), Donna Malec (Matt Malec) and Nancy Moss. He is further survived by many nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Ryan Schnaare and his brother, Robert Nevoraski.
