Juan Jose “Chato” Torres, 64, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Froedtert South Kenosha Medical Center Campus.
He was born on October 22, 1957 to the late Guadalupe and Maria (Sauceda) Torres in Levelland, TX. He came to Kenosha from Texas in 1965. Juan Jose was educated in Kenosha.
On May 10, 1997 he married Judy Jimenez in Kenosha.
Juan Jose worked as a mechanic for many years.
Juan Jose was a member of Racine Family Worship Center. He loved going to church and praising God.
Juan Jose enjoyed working on cars, fishing, an avid Cowboys fan, was a jack-of-all-trades and helping everyone he could. He treated his wife Judy like a “Queen” and loved taking care and spending time with his family.
Juan Jose is survived by his wife Judy, his children Rocendo (Juli) Torres, Viviana Torres, Elizabeth Torres, Jessi (Gavin) Torres and Ramiro Torres, his 12 grandchildren and his siblings Josefina Perez, Guadalupe Torres, Benito (Mary) Torres, Maria (Ruben) Castanuela, Esmeralda Segura, Fernando (Gloria) Torrez, Samuel (Anna) Torres and Maria (Javier) Ochoa.
He is preceded in death by a brother Jesse Torres, a sister Maria “Lupita” Terrazas and a grandson Elijah.
Visitation for Juan Jose will be held on Tuesday, Jan.11th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Racine Family Worship Center (1846 Mead St.) with a worship service starting at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
