John F. Sharapata, 54 years old of Pleasant Prairie, WI passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI.
He was born September 7, 1967, in Des Plaines, IL the son of Alex and Irene (Kempa) Sharapata. He grew up in Lake Bluff, IL, and on October 28, 1995, he married Nancy Piotter.
John was a devout catholic, and parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church, Pleasant Prairie, WI. He was a selfless man with a great sense of humor and infectious laugh; he cared for everyone around him and was always willing to help. John was hardworking, and full of life. His family was most important to him, he was the proud father of four girls (five including his beloved dog, Angel). He loved spending time up north at the family’s “honey house”, tending the bees, taking care of the yard work, hunting and fishing. John was an avid sports fan; he especially loved football. Some of his favorite foods were of the Italian and Polish heritage, and most recently, he enjoyed walks with his wife, Nancy.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 26 years, Nancy; daughters, Amber Sharapata, Megan Sharapata, Jessica Sharapata and Haley Sharapata; parents Alex and Irene Sharapata; siblings, Eilena (Kevin) McTernan, Marilyn (Steve) Roper, David (Lisa) Sharapata and Brian (Lisa) Sharapata; Nancy’s siblings, Sharon (Russ) Nummer, Ray Piotter, Cynthia Piotter, Timothy Piotter, Patricia (Keith) Grunow, Michael (Maureen) Piotter, Chuck Piotter, Janet Sei, Joseph (Corinne) Piotter; and many nieces and nephews, Ashley, Lauren, Tess, Madeline, Emily, Matthew, Lauren, Brooke, Tracy, Kim, Paige, John, Jack, Wesley, Abigail, Richard, Ryan, Lindsay, Melissa, Ashley, Lorenzo, Tegan, Taylor, Payton, Drake, Lincoln, Easton, Beckham, Kade, Maddie, Maci, Genevieve, Violet, Jameson, and Malia.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI with Mass of Christian Burial to commence at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
