Joan Lorenz, 83, of Union Grove, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at her home.
Born on August 23, 1938, in Marinette, WI, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Terlep) Todzy. She lived in Kenosha County her entire life.
On May 16, 1958, she married Chester Lorenz in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2013.
Joan enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, baking, sewing, feeding the birds, and gardening. Her family will always remember her beautiful flowers and her huge tomato garden. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Jeffrey (Leslie Emery) Lorenz of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Steven (Vicki) Lorenz of Union Grove, WI, Cynthia (Fred Zavodnik) Ingram-Zavodnik of Racine, WI, and Bradley (Melissa Makal) Lorenz of Kenosha, WI; ten grandchildren, Kevin, Kelly, Zachary, Ava, Brice, Brittany, Austin, Jacob, Nickolas, and Hannah; three great grandchildren, Emma, Stevie, and Charlotte; and her stepdaughter, Donna Sophia. She is further survived by other loving family and friends.
Joan was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Lorenz; five brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
