Hannelore “Honey” Wisman, age 89, of Kenosha passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Hospice Alliance – Hospice House. Hannelore was born on February 9, 1932, in Kitzingen, Germany to Sebastian and Maria (Kolb) Auinger and she was educated in the local schools. She married Alfred Wisman on October 5, 1957, in Germany and the couple moved to Kenosha in 1966. Hannelore worked for many years as a housekeeper at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. Following her retirement from the hospital, she worked for many years with food services at Tremper High School. She enjoyed word searches and taking care of her plants. Hannelore especially enjoyed crocheting and knitting and everyone in her family has treasured pieces from her. “Family Fun” trips with her children and grandchildren, visiting different parts of the United States, were times that she treasured.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband; a son, Bert Auinger and a daughter, Marion Wisman and her brother, Rudy Auinger.
Hannelore is survived by, five children, Robert Wisman, Susan (Rick) Selk, Edward (Krisan) Wisman, Chris (Jeff) Potthast and Brigitte Viola (Derik) Syreini; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and her sister, Brigitte Mortensen.
A private family service will be held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Hannelore’s memory be made to Hospice Alliance or the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin.
