Gwendolyn J. Augustyn, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on August 8th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Gwynn was a loving, caring, and passionate person. She was born on August 23rd, 1942.
Gwynn married her husband Richard L. Augustyn I on January 31st, 1968, and had two children Tracey and Richard. Gwynn obtained her nursing degree and worked as a nurse for 30 plus years at United Hospital System and a skills instructor at Gateway Technical college until she retired in 2009.
Gwynn enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to crochet, cook, bake, attend church, travel, and spend time with her family. Gwynn especially loved being surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Gwynn is survived by her husband Richard L. Augustyn I; daughter, Tracey A. Harnisch (John); son, Richard L. Augustyn II (Stacy); five grandkids – Alyssa A. Augustyn, Emily E. Augustyn, Colton R. Augustyn, Jacob B. Augustyn and Morgan H. Augustyn; 2 great grandkids – Sawyer E. Augustyn and Liam R. Hicks.
Gwynn was preceded in death by her parents and Ashley L. Harnisch.
Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
