Faye Marie Schutz, 62 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
She was born in Kenosha on October 3, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Virginia (Hensley) Schutz. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools and graduated from Temper High School. Faye went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a bachelor’s degree in education. She was employed as a Special Education Teacher with the Kenosha Unified School District and Union Grove High School in Racine County.
Faye had a love for beings outdoors, specifically at the family cabin in Three Lakes, WI. It was here, she enjoyed boating, swimming, and sitting down by the pier. She was an avid reader and loved to spend time traveling to visit her brother in Pensacola, FL.
Faye is survived by her sister, Karen (David Alan) Spence of Pleasant Prairie; her brother, Richard A. (Margaret) Schutz of Pensacola, FL; one niece, Tammy Schutz; three nephews, Christopher Schutz, Brandon Schutz, and Paul Schutz. She is further survived by great nieces, great nephews, her cat, Marlie and many other loving family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Dale Schutz and her beloved kitty, Lilly.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 2, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Facial coverings and social distancing is required to attend services. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
