Eric C. Casey, 50 years old, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at his home. He was born in Libertyville, IL to Charles and Candyce.
Eric was a sports enthusiast and loved to coach football. His dedication was unmatched. He was hardworking and he was the biggest fan of his two boys. He had a fun loving and vivacious personality. His laugh and smile could fill a room. If he wasn’t coaching or watching sports, he would find a good book to read. He had this ability to make anyone he talked to feel important and heard.
Eric is survived by sons, Conner and Joseph and their mother, Sarah Matzl; mother, Candyce Evans; step-mother, Laurie (Bill) Rehman; siblings, Jonn (Samantha) Casey, Christian (Matt) Cloutier, and Michelle (Eric) Sixel; nephews, Charlie, Jaxon and Archer; nieces, Morgan and JoJo; aunts, Jaynie Evans and Mellissa Koelsch; uncle, Joseph LeCastro; cousins, Jamie Evans Ceniceros, James Evans, Nicholas LeCastro, Dawn Koelsch, Casey Koelsch, Robin Koelsch, Amanda Koelsch, and Jessie Casey; extended family, Mary Walters (Wayne) Kirkpatrick, Dave (Rosemary Hertl) Matzl, Ben and Tim Matzl; the Boussons, Jeremy, James (Diane), Steph, Austin, Emerald, and Leighla; and dear friend, Tim Vromen.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Casey; grandparents, Johnnie and Myrtle Casey, and James and Cleo Evans; uncles, Jim (Butch) Evans & Johnnie Casey; aunts, Sandra LeCastro & Jean Taylor-Casey.
A memorial visitation for Eric will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service commencing at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in his memory to the Western Kenosha Youth at 213 Jerome Dr. Twin Lakes, WI 53181 for the memorial scholarship of Eric Casey for the Panthers Youth Football Team.
