Elaine Berndt, 85, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday August 5, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Elaine was born on January 19, 1936, in Delmont, S.D., the daughter of the late Mathias & Lena (Andachter) Pepplitsch. She was educated in the schools S.D. Elaine married Arthur Berndt, Jr. on November 10, 1952, in S.D. She was owner/operator of the Parkston Locker, her family meat processing company for many years. Her hobbies included reading, perusing the internet on her computer and spending time with her family & friends.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Gerald) Bertsch of Kenosha, Kathryn (Curt) Struck of S.D., Cindy (George) Woychik of WI; brother, Paul Pepplitsch of FL; sister, Mary Forseen of IA; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, Jr.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
