Duane Sharrard, 73, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Duane was born on May 24, 1949, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late William & Maxine (Cronkright) Sharrard. He was educated in the schools of MI. In 1966, Duane moved to Kenosha, WI, where he later met the love of his life, Gail Beck, and married in 1982. Duane served in the U.S. Army on active duty from 1968-70 and then entered the reserves from 1970-74. Duane was employed at OMC for over 30 years; after retiring, he continued working in the garage on boat motors and helping others when needed. Duane later worked at Great Lakes Naval Base for JOPPA, officially retiring in 2010.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting in his younger years, spending time at Deer Camp, country music, watching NASCAR, but most of all, having a drink with friends or spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Sharrard of Pleasant Prairie; children, Robert Sharrard, Kimberly Pascucci, Cory (Rebecca) Sharrard; brothers, William, Richard, and Steven Sharrard; sisters, Darla (Bo) Timoshuk, Fayette Sharrard; and six grandchildren. Duane was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise, and grandson, Stephen.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
