Douglas Kortes, 71, of Kenosha passed away on February 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Douglas was born on July 12, 1951, in Virginia, MN, the son of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Grosser) Kortes. He was educated in the schools of Milwaukee. Douglas married Pamela Barsuli on June 9, 1979, in Kenosha, they later divorced. He was employed as an arborist tree shrub route manager for many years. His hobbies included fishing, grilling out, taking care of his lawn, cheering for the Green Bay Packers & the Wisconsin Badgers, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Julie Detert of Kenosha; daughter, Elizabeth (Todd) Voigt of Elmhurst, IL; brother, David (Roberta) Kortes of MN; also included are his grandchildren, Harper and Avery. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
