Donald R. Potter, 85, of Kenosha passed away peacefully, Friday, October 18, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on December 17, 1938 to the late Lester and Edith (Brynes) Potter in Lake Geneva. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
Donald entered the US Navy on May 25, 1956 and was honorably discharged on May 14, 1962.
On November 11, 1958 he married Jacqueline Rotondo in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2015.
Donald was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Donald worked at Anaconda/American Brass for 35 years, retiring from there.
Donald enjoyed the north woods, fishing, hunting, watching westerns on TV and had a passion for cooking. He loved talking to people and was a devout Catholic with strong a faith.
Donald is survived by his sons Donald F. (Donna) Potter, Frank D. Potter and Richard T. Potter, his granddaughters Danielle (Steve) Schumacher and Diana (Travis Schaefer) Potter, his great grandchildren Lela and Conlan Schumacher and Tanner Schaefer and his sisters Joyce Collins and Eleanor Froehlke.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald will be held on Friday, October 25th at 10:00 a.m.at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (2224 – 45th St.). Interment will follow with Full Military Honors at St. George Cemetery.
