Don A. Schreck age 90 formerly of Bassett, WI. died February 26, 2024, at his home in Mountain, WI. He was born in Chicago, IL on January 26, 1934. The son of the late Lloyd and Edna (Schoeman) Schreck. He met Patricia Wilburn in high school and they married on November 25, 1960, in Woodstock, IL.
During his life Don worked as an AMF Bowling Alley mechanic, Co-Owned Towne and Country Lanes in Burlington, WI., built houses and performed handyman services.
Don enjoyed fishing, card playing, coaching baseball and volunteering at the local thrift store by fixing small appliances and anything else that needed repair before resale.
Survived by his wife Patricia. Loving Father to Sue (Ron) Pedersen, Dale Schreck and Luanne Trakas. Grandfather to Jamie (Jamey) Caldwell, Tim (Nicole) Trakas and Tony (late Dawn) Trakas. Great Grandfather of Avery Caldwell, Tyler Trakas, Zachary Trakas, Alyssa Trakas, and Ella Trakas. Brother to the late Allen (late Jean) Schreck, Lou (late Carolyn) Miller and Barry (Jackie) Schreck.
Private burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery in Randall, WI. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Twin Lakes, WI is honored to serve the Schreck family.
