Della H. Nichols, 93, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully surround by her loving family, Sunday, August 27, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on February 13, 1930 to the late Solomon J. and Delphina (Michaelski) Lance in Chicago.  She was educated in the schools of Chicago.

On February 1, 1955 she married Fredrick Nichols in Chicago.  He preceded her in death on December 1, 2006.

Della enjoyed swimming, sewing, going to casinos, playing bingo and Yahtzee.  She also enjoyed story telling and collecting cookie jars.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Della is survived by her daughter Joyce Pace, a daughter-in-law Laura J. Clewis-Nichols, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, special nephew Glenn and Kathy Farwick along with many other nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Lois Farwick, Mary Kiehl and Joyce Lance and her special friends Doreen and Lisa and her many friends at Eva Manor.

She is preceded in death by her sons John, William and Fredrick, siblings George, Eugene, Gregory, Darrole and Maxine and brothers-in-law John Farwick and Fred Kiehl.

The family would like to thank Hospice Alliance, her hospice nurse Tiffany and CNA Becca for their loving and compassionate care given to Della.

Private Family Services were held.
