Charles Leffelman, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Aurora Health Center.
Born in Libertyville, IL on March 14, 1936, Charles was the son of the late Edmond and Loretta (Blasius) Leffelman. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Grade School and High School in Kenosha.
Chuck served his country in the U. S. Army as a Specialist 4th Class for three years before being honorably discharged on August 7, 1961.
In September 1959, Chuck was united in marriage to Mary Kolnik. They were blessed with two children, Robert and Michael. Mary preceded him in death on February 7, 1963. On October 31, 1964 Chuck married Jean Meyers at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton. Their union was blessed with 57 years of marriage.
He was an active member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and served as an usher for 30 years. Chuck and Jean were in the Adult Choir together and volunteered at Aurora Hospital.
Chuck was employed by MacWhyte for 36 years retiring on April 23, 1999. He enjoyed fishing, pitching horseshoes, reading, bowling (his high game being 299) and back in the day, CB radios.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Michael (Lisa Dukowitz) Leffelman of Burlington, Katherine (Vincent) Gloria of Kenosha, Pamela (Mark) Studrawa of Kenosha, Brian (Debbie Miles-Garbie) Leffelman of Burlington, Tina (Robert) Fitzgerald of Racine; his seven grandchildren; his one great granddaughter and his brother, John Leffelman.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Robert Leffelman and his sister, Marilyn Stolp.
