Caroline Faith Duncan (née Nedweski), age 69, passed away peacefully from heart failure on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Caroline was born and raised in Kenosha, WI. She later moved to Milwaukee where she would meet her husband at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral. As a child she developed a strong desire for education and study, which led her to university for majors in Art and English Literature.

Caroline’s first rung on the professional ladder was in advertising, working for a local restaurant and for marketing agencies. She spent roughly two decades within that field while also budgeting allowances and delegating home responsibilities with her husband and 3 children. She taught her children economic awareness through her life’s work, after divorce, and through purchasing her first home. Years later, she was able to negotiate a successful transition to a smaller home with her friend before finally resolving to a penthouse in downtown Milwaukee. Later, her avid health regime helped her keep up with her municipal pursuits. Caroline had praised the efforts of her children, who helped her keep things running smoothly for the past decade.

She had many different interests and roles through her life. From book illustrator, dry cleaning specialist, restaurant marketer, legislative assistant, jeweler, solo choir singer, homemaker, bread maker, drink specialist, fundraiser, and hotel reviewer. Caroline was known for her strong liberal beliefs, always made voting a commitment, and volunteered for Democratic efforts. She was an immense fan of former Senator Herb Kohl. She was a daily devoted reader of illustrative short narratives while reviewing food and business operations.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Andrea Duncan, Joseph Duncan, Raymond A. Duncan; her former husband, Raymond W. Duncan; her sisters, Kathy Milass and Pat Doyle.

Caroline was preceded in death by her siblings, Eddie and Bernie Nedweski and Joyce Flatley.

Funeral services honoring Caroline’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Piasecki Funeral Home 3720 39th Avenue.

A visitation for Caroline will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
