Brenda S. Muhr, 57, of Silver Lake, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, October 23, 2023 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.
She was born on April 23, 1966 to the late Ronald and Joanne (Pokorski) Cassity in Nebraska. She was educated in the schools of Waukegan.
Brenda married Kevin Maki and later divorce. They remained close friends.
Brenda worked in Hospitality for the Hampton Inn for several years and stayed close with her co-workers.
Brenda enjoyed movies, cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda was a kind-hearted woman who persevered throughout her life.
Brenda is survived by her son John (Sam) Maki, her daughter Stephanie Maki, her grandchildren Shyann, Shane, Shanelle, Ava, Grayson and James, her sister Kris (Bob) Erynstmeyer and her loving companion Kenneth Miller.
She is preceded in death by a grandson Jacob Maki.
A Celebration of Life for Brenda will be held at a later date.
