Betty L. “Patsy” Peterson, age 88, of Genoa City, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Richard and Pearl (Platke) Vermett in Harvard, Illinois. On June 4, 1954, in Harvard, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Richard “Ole” Peterson, who preceded her in death on October 17, 2019. Patsy enjoyed watching game shows, putting puzzles together, playing Solitaire, and spending time with her family.

Patsy is survived by her son, Roger; daughter-in-law, Lisa; five grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron (Stacy), Brandon, Steffani, and Fallon; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Vermett of Harvard, Illinois; sister, Mary Gaylord of Tacoma, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ole; son, Ricky; daughter, Pam; sisters, Anne, Katherine, Josephine, Berniece, Virginia, Stella, and Pearl; and brothers, Richard, Everett, John, Robert, and Arthur.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday November 11, 2023, at 11:00AM at Wilmot Cemetery.
