By ANDREA FORGIANNI, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE KENOSHA HARBORMARKET

Founded in 2003 by a group of visionaries who first had the original idea of bringing a European-style market to the City of Kenosha, HarborMarket's mission is to enhance quality of life by connecting regional produce, meat and cheese producers; creators of ready-to-eat as well as processed foods and artisans of all kinds with consumers at our year-round Saturday market.

Vendor applications are now being accepted for the outdoor HarborMarkets operated in Downtown Kenosha, Downtown Racine and the Village of Pleasant Prairie.

This will be the 22nd outdoor season for Kenosha HarborMarket, located on 2nd Avenue between 54th & 56th Streets and the adjacent Place de Douai in Downtown Kenosha. The 2024 Outdoor Season will run Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting May 11 through October 26th .

“We look forward to welcoming established vendors back and to opening up opportunities for new vendors to join HarborMarket events. During the 2023 Outdoor Kenosha HarborMarket season, we welcomed nearly 200 small businesses and more than 175,000 customers,” Andrea Forgianni, executive director of Kenosha HarborMarket, said. “The Kenosha HarborMarket has been named Kenosha’s Best Event for 2021, 2022 and 2023 and was recently selected for a 2023 Ovation Award from the Kenosha Area Business Alliance.”

This will be the 3rd outdoor season for the Racine HarborMarket on Monument Square, located on Main Street between 5th and 6th Streets in Downtown Racine. The Racine HarborMarket is operated through a partnership with the Downtown Racine Corp. and Kenosha HarborMarket. The Racine HarborMarket will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursdays on May 30; June 13 and 25; and Aug. 8 and 22.

“We are thrilled to announce the return of the Racine Harbor Market this summer. Nestled in the bustling heart of Racine on Monument Square, the market is a vibrant tapestry of our community’s spirit and creativity. It’s more than just a market; it’s a celebration of local produce, artisanal goods, diverse prepared foods, and the joy of live music,” said Kelly Kruse, executive director of the Downtown Racine Corporation.

2024 will be the 2nd outdoor season for the Pleasant Prairie HarborMarket, located on the western shore of Lake Andrea in Prairie Springs Park, 9900 Terwall Terrace, Pleasant Prairie. The Pleasant Prairie HarborMarket is operated through a partnership with Visit Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha HarborMarket. “People loved our location on the shores of Lake Andrea and how family-friendly the layout was,” said Sarah Howard, executive director of Visit Pleasant Prairie. “I’m proud of the results from the time and dedication committed in developing the Pleasant Prairie HarborMarket last year. Vendors and market goers wanted more dates, and we are thrilled to have made that happen!”
