Domenick Tirabassi, Jr. was born in 1934 to Amelia (Russo) and Domenick Tirabassi, Sr., the third of their four children. In 1956, he married Gina Marano, and they raised eight children in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Their ever-growing family has grown to include dozens of in-laws, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Domenick served in the United States Navy from 1956-1958, during which time he and Gina lived in California. After his military service concluded, Domenick returned home and joined his father’s business, D. Tirabassi & Sons, a grading, trucking, and excavating contractor, where he worked alongside his brother James and eventually succeeded his father as President. In 1960, Domenick founded Precision Erecting, a machinery moving and steel erecting business that operates today as Prime Industrial Contractors. In addition to building Precision for nearly 50 years, Domenick has pursued several other businesses and interests, which have included farming, real estate development, equipment leasing and software development. In 2010, Domenick proudly accepted the Mary D. Bradford Distinguished Alumni Award for Achievement in Business.

Outside of work, Domenick has been a zealous participant and supporter of the Kenosha community. In 2016, Domenick and Gina were honored by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Always a fan of both men’s and women’s team sports, Dom has coached, directed athletics, managed, and sponsored a variety of sports teams. In 2006, Domenick entered the Saint Joseph Catholic Academy Athletic Hall of Fame as a Supporter. Having spent decades sponsoring city-league softball teams which achieved local, state, and national championships, Dom has been inducted into the United States Slow-Pitch Softball Association Hall of Fame as a Sponsor.

Dom is an avid hunter who still hunts every year with his sons and his many friends in northern Wisconsin. He and Gina have always fondly welcomed their family and friends to their homes in Kenosha and in West Palm Beach, Florida. A good friend to many and the patriarch of a large Italian American family, Domenick takes an active role in the personal and professional lives of his children, grandchildren, and friends, never shying away from offering advice, support, and love.

Please join in honoring Domenick Tirabassi, Jr., an exceptional entrepreneur, philanthropist, coach, sponsor, sportsman and family man.
