Vehicle admission sticker is required: $8 per day for vehicles with Wisconsin plates (age 65 and over $3) / $11 for vehicles with out-of-state plates. Johnson’s Island Prison Uncovered: An Archaeological Exploration of a Civil War Prison Lake Erie, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Civil War Museum, 5400 1st Ave. (In-person, presenters via Zoom) During the American Civil War, nearly 400,00 soldiers from the Union and the Confederacy were captured and held at dozens of prisoner-of-war camps. One such site was the Johnson’s Island Civil War Military Prison in Ohio’s Sandusky Bay, which held over 10,000 Confederate officers during the course of the war.

Stop by Pringle Nature Center any time the park is open to do nature activities with your family. Activities are self-guided and will be posted at the front door of the nature center. No registration required; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Resource Center Activity Day: Natural Egg Dyes, 1-3 p.m., Civil War Museum, 5400 1st Ave. Egg dyes will be made from beets, turmeric, blueberries, red cabbage and chili powder.
