Second Friday Lecture Series, First Fallen: The Life of Colonel Elmer Ellsworth, noon-1 p.m., Civil War Museum, 5400 1st Ave. Colonel Elmer Ellsworth was the first Union officer killed in the American Civil War. His life story is complex and fascinating, but it is also the story of many young men who fought and died for the Union. Durkee Mansion Historic Holiday, 6501 3rd Ave., This year’s theme is “Victorian Winter Elegance.” Holiday hours are 1:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The mansion will also be open special hours from 4-7 p.m. 

A Sweet Tea with Mrs. Charles Dickens, 1-4 p.m., GFWC Woman’s Club of Kenosha, 6028 8th Ave., Enjoy tea and sweet treats with historical impersonator Jessica Michna as Mrs. Charles Dickens. Also features door prizes, raffles, and a tour of Woman’s Club of Kenosha’s historical Home. Doors open at 1 p.m.; program starts at 2 p.m. This is a fundraiser for our scholarship fund. Tickets $20. 

Toy Drive and wrapping, noon-5 p.m., 24’s Rumors Lounge, 1402 52nd St. Stop in to help wrap the toys from Rumor’s annual toy drive. Please bring a roll of paper and tape to donate if  possible. Toy Drive benefits Women’s Horizons and Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. 

Lakeshore Pedal Tours – Rides with Santa, through Dec. 11. The ride through Downtown Kenosha goes past the City of Kenosha’s Christmas Tree outside the Kenosha Public Museum and to downtown pubs. See website for booking. 

Live Nativity at Kenosha Bible Church

Family 

Live Nativity, 5, 6 and 7 p.m. (three performances), Kenosha Bible Church, 5405 67th St. Featuring live actors, live animals, and narration. Complimentary snacks and hot drinks will be provided for all who attend. This event will take place outside so come dressed for the weather. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors. 

Holiday Light Walk, 5-9 p.m., Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm, 7150 18th St. holiday treats, fire pits, Santa, reindeer exhibit, shopping in the Country Store, and more! Admission $7 per person over age 3. Daily through Dec. 18.
