Holiday Boutique and Bake Sale Saturday at Hawthorn Hollow

Family-friendly fundraiser supports organization's preservation efforts and educational programs

By HAWTHORN HOLLOW NATURE SANCTUARY AND ARBORETUM

Hawthorn Hollow grew out of love for the land. As a nature sanctuary and arboretum, Hawthorn Hollow has been connecting people and nature through environmental education for more than 50 years. Hawthorn Hollow is owned and operated by the Hyslop Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501 c3 organization formed in 1964.

This Saturday (Dec. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary & Arboretum will be hosting a Holiday Boutique and Bake Sale fundraiser. All proceeds from sales will be used to support Hawthorn Hollow’s preservation efforts and educational programs.

Attendees will be able to browse and buy hand-crafted wreaths, swags, and other holiday décor made from Hawthorn Hollow’s own greens. Fresh-cut greens will also be available for purchase. Stock up on homemade cookies, cakes, candies, and other goodies for your holiday table or to give as gifts.

Santa will be here for free pictures from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as a fun children’s craft activity. And of course, what would a holiday event be without chestnuts roasting on an open fire?

Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
