FRANKLIN AT TREMPER (boys soccer)

Tuesday (Sept. 12), 6:30 p.m., Ameche Field (8701 26th Ave., Kenosha)

The undefeated and untied Tremper boys soccer team looks to improve its position atop the SEC when it hosts Franklin. The Trojans, ranked No. 9 in Division 1 in this week’s WisSports.net state coaches poll, entered the week at 6-0-0 overall and in a three-way tie atop the SEC with Oak Creek and Racine Case at 2-0-0 in conference play.

INDIAN TRAIL AT BRADFORD (girls tennis)

Thursday (Sept. 14), 4 p.m., Bullen Middle School (2804 39th Ave., Kenosha)

Bradford hosts city rival Indian Trail in an SEC girls tennis dual match at Bullen Middle School. For the Hawks, senior Lainy Ristau is looking to finish her high school career as a four-time qualifier in singles at the WIAA Division 1 State Tournament, while Mia Franke qualified for the State Tournament in doubles as a freshman last season.

INDIAN TRAIL AT OAK CREEK (football)

Friday (Sept. 15), 7 p.m., Oak Creek High School (340 E. Puetz Rd., Oak Creek)

All right, I admit I’m cheating here, because technically this event isn’t taking place in Kenosha County. But with only three high school football games scheduled to be played within county limits this Friday night, how could I choose anything else? In an intriguing matchup of two teams in a three-way tie atop the early SEC standings — along with Franklin — at 2-0 in conference play, the Hawks and Knights (both 3-1 overall) will battle at Oak Creek High School, just a quick drive north. We’ll see which defense will be able to at least slow down the opposing offense, as Oak Creek is averaging 40.1 points per game so far and Indian Trail is averaging a staggering 50.8 per game. The Hawks have a lot of weapons, but junior quarterback LJ Dagen (929 total yards, 12 total TDs) and senior running back Justice Lovelace (522 total yards, 16 total TDs) have led the way. Dagen leads the SEC in rushing yards and Lovelace is tied for third in the entire state with 13 rushing touchdowns. If you want to stay within county limits for your Friday night football fix, then you can check out Bradford hosting Racine Horlick at Bradford Stadium (3700 Washington Rd.) at 5:30 p.m., Tremper hosting defending WIAA Division 1 state champion Franklin at 5:30 p.m. at Ameche Field (8701 26th Ave.) or head west to catch Wilmot hosting Waterford in SLC action at 7 p.m. at Frank Bucci Field (11112 308th Ave.).
