Foodie Favorite: Pineapple Salsa

From chicken to chips, this concoction delivers a real taste treat

A fourth generation Kenosha native, Freeborn is fueled by a desire to build community through her culinary skills in the kitchen. The Tremper High School graduate loves trying new recipes as well as creating unique ones of her own.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pineapple, finely diced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 orange bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 seedless cucumber, finely diced
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients together until well blended. Can serve with chips, put on grilled chicken or pork chops, top off a salad, add to a burger … the possibilities are endless!
