Known by many as "Schak" in the community, Horschak was a respected sports writer for the Kenosha News during a 22-year run covering two stints from 1995 to 2018. The Marquette University graduate is Kenosha.com’s first managing editor.

That makes it the 29,602nd most popular given first name in the U.S.

Based on the analysis of 100 years worth of data from the Social Security Administration’s Baby Names database, the estimated population of people named Kenosha is 369 in that span.

How did you get the name Kenosha?: “There really isn’t a cute story. My parents allowed one of their friends to name me and she chose it. I’m originally from Alabama and my parents had never been to Kenosha or Wisconsin.”

Have you ever been to Kenosha?: “I was in Kenosha once – just passing through (in December 2018). It wasn’t an intentional trip. I once tried to get a job at the Kenosha Chamber of Commerce, but never got the call back. I was like, ‘Who knows Kenosha better than Kenosha?’ ”

Have you ever met anyone else named Kenosha?: “I met one other Kenosha on Facebook. We are now Facebook friends.”
