Meet our Kenosha.com Pet of the Week – Roger.
Roger takes a minute to warm up — but once he does, his smile is worth the wait.
This week’s Kenosha.com Pet of the Week is a 3-year-old, 52-pound dog available for adoption at the Wisconsin Humane Society Kenosha Campus. Roger can be a bit shy when he first meets someone new, but staff say his personality has truly blossomed since he arrived at WHS. Give him a little time and space, and he opens right up — tail wagging, ready to play, and flashing what might be one of the best smiles in the shelter.
Roger already knows sit, shake, and spin, and he loves being outside exploring his surroundings. He is the kind of dog who rewards patience: the people who take the time to let him come around get a genuinely happy, affectionate companion in return.
Like every dog at WHS, Roger has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is also a Benchwarmer, a WHS designation that means adopters can name their own adoption fee to bring him home.
