Kenosha homeowners dealing with downed branches and storm debris from this week’s severe thunderstorms have until Thursday, June 18 to arrange for free curbside pickup through the City of Kenosha — but residents must call ahead to be placed on the collection list.
To register for pickup, call the Department of Public Works at 262-653-4050. Curbside collection runs Monday, June 15 through Thursday, June 18. Debris left at the curb without a prior call may not be collected — the call is required.
When calling, be ready to describe the approximate size and quantity of debris at your address. Crews use that information to plan collection routes and determine what equipment to bring.
Eligible debris includes tree limbs, brush, and other storm-related material resulting from this week’s storms. City crews are also working independently throughout Kenosha, clearing fallen branches and addressing storm damage in public areas — that effort is separate from the residential curbside program.
Residents are reminded to use caution around any downed trees, damaged power lines, or other hazards that may still be present. Do not approach or attempt to move downed utility lines.
To report a fallen tree or large branch blocking a public sidewalk, contact the Kenosha Parks Department separately at 262-653-4080.
The collection window closes Thursday, June 18.
